“This Is Just the Intro”: Shatana Warns Afia Schwar – Insult Ga Kings Again and “Ego Over You”

The Ghanaian entertainment scene is once again buzzing with drama, this time pitting musician and philanthropist Shatana against outspoken media personality Afia Schwarzenegger in a heated clash rooted in cultural respect, tradition, and celebrity loyalty.

In a bold and unfiltered TikTok video that’s quickly making rounds, Shatana proudly identifying as a Ga native issued a sharp, cryptic warning to Afia Schwarzenegger. The message: steer clear of disrespecting Ga leaders or face consequences she “will not like”. To drive the point home with dramatic flair, Shatana appeared on camera holding a roll of toilet paper emblazoned with the words “Afia Schwar Fool”. The video’s on-screen captions read:

– “We Ga people use Afia Schwar as our toilet paper… We no dey see her sef”
– “Afia if you insult Ga kings again, ego over u, this is just the intro”

The fiery post appears to be a direct retaliation to Afia’s recent outburst against Ga traditional authorities. The controversy traces back to the burial of legendary highlife musician Daddy Lumba (DL), who reportedly passed away and was laid to rest at his home in Accra (East Legon area, according to circulating reports). Ga leaders publicly expressed outrage, arguing that proper protocols were not followed and no prior notification or consultation with them as custodians of the land. In line with Ga customs and spiritual beliefs, they claimed such an unauthorized burial on ancestral or communal land invites bad omens, curses, or spiritual imbalance. They demanded the body be exhumed and potentially reinterred only after necessary rituals, pacifications, and appeasements to the gods and ancestors.

Afia Schwarzenegger, a well-known die-hard fan of Daddy Lumba and vocal defender of his legacy, did not take this lightly. She went live and on social media platforms lambasting the Ga leaders, dismissing their demands as outdated, threatening, or even legally questionable, while passionately protecting what she sees as the artist’s final wishes and dignity.

Shatana, who also hailing from the Ga community stepped in to defend her people’s traditions and chieftaincy. Framing Afia’s comments as an unacceptable insult to Ga kings and elders, Shatana’s video serves as both a personal clapback and a broader cultural statement: outsiders (or even those not showing proper deference) should tread carefully when criticizing sacred customs.

As of now, Afia Schwarzenegger is yet to publicly respond to Shatana’s provocative warning, leaving fans and social media users speculating on whether this feud will escalate into more direct exchanges, diss tracks, or perhaps a surprising reconciliation.

This saga highlights the ongoing tension in Ghana between modern celebrity culture, fan loyalty, personal freedoms, and deep-rooted traditional values especially when icons like Daddy Lumba are involved. The video has sparked widespread debate about respect for culture versus individual rights in mourning and burial decisions.
