Two DHLTU Graduates Develop Xpress GH Ride to Digitize Transportation Sector
WA, UPPER WEST REGION, GHANA — Two graduates of Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University (DHLTU) in Wa, Mr. Ibrahim Fuseini Adams and Mr. Mahama Sadat, have developed Xpress GH Ride, a digital ride-booking platform designed to improve access to transportation services. The platform allows passengers to book tricycles (Cambuu), cars and motorbikes through a digital system, connecting passengers with transportation providers. According to the developers, their main goal is to use technology to make transportation more convenient and contribute to the digital transformation of the transport sector in Northern Ghana. The developers are calling on the Government, investors, private organizations, businesses, development partners and the general public to support Xpress GH Ride through partnerships, investment, technical support and patronage. Such support will help the team improve the platform, expand its services and create more opportunities for young people. This is a locally developed Ghanaian technology project, and the developers are calling on Ghanaians to support and promote local innovation. Passengers are encouraged to try the platform and provide feedback, while drivers and transport operators are encouraged to join the system and take advantage of available booking opportunities. Businesses, investors and institutions interested in technology, transportation, youth employment and digital innovation are also invited to partner with Xpress GH Ride. With the right support, Xpress GH Ride can grow from a local initiative in Wa into a wider digital transportation service serving communities across Ghana. Xpress GH Ride is currently based in Wa, Upper West Region, with plans to expand its services to other parts of Ghana.
