11 Years of Deceit: RKB’s World Turned Upside Down by Paternity Test

UK Based Ghanaian Artiste RKB Opens Up About Painful Discovery: Child He Raised for 11 Years Not Biologically His*

UK Based Ghanaian musician RKB, one half of the rising music duo GH Family has shared a deeply personal and heartbreaking chapter of his life that left him emotionally shaken.

In an exclusive and emotional interview with the GHVIBE Media team, RKB revealed that a DNA paternity test has confirmed he is not the biological father of the boy he has lovingly raised, supported, and considered his son for over eleven years.

RKB recounted that he first met Faustina Ohene from Dodowa on 31 December 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church. He says he felt an instant connection and the two began a relationship shortly after.

“Within a few weeks she told me she was pregnant and that the child was mine,” he explained. “From the very beginning I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right because she had thrown herself at me so quickly but I had no proof. I couldn’t accuse her without evidence, so I chose to take responsibility.”

RKB fully embraced fatherhood. He supported Faustina throughout the pregnancy, provided financially, and remained actively involved in the child’s life for more than a decade, covering school fees, medical needs, clothing, and every aspect of upbringing a committed father would.

Years later, Faustina reportedly began pressuring RKB, a UK resident, to bring the boy to live with him in Britain. According to RKB, she threatened to abandon the child if he did not step in, claiming the responsibility was hindering her personal growth and progress.

With no other viable option and wanting the best for the boy, RKB arranged for him to relocate to the UK.

As part of the standard UK immigration and family reunification process, a legal paternity test is required to confirm the parent-child relationship before proceeding further.

Unsure and still carrying that quiet doubt from years earlier, RKB quietly arranged a private DNA test through BluePrint Diagnostics without informing Faustina at the time. The result was devastating. He was not the biological father of the boy.

When asked about his next steps, RKB spoke with remarkable calm and maturity.

“I’ve decided to return the boy to his mother,” he said. “I hold no bitterness. I won’t demand any money back. I’ve left the entire situation in God’s hands.”

He added that, despite the emotional weight of the revelation, he currently feels mentally and emotionally stable.

“I’m in a good place right now. I don’t feel the need for psychological support, at least not at this moment. My focus is shifting back to my music and the work I still have to do.”

Through the hurt, RKB is channeling his energy into creativity. He and his GH Family partner are encouraging fans to stay connected through their music.

The duo recently released their vibrant debut single “Do Your Dance” a joyful, Swahili-infused Afrobeat track that celebrates movement, freedom, and African spirit.
